BCG Study
Summary
BCG vaccine is traditionally used to prevent TB infections and is a routine vaccine for children in epidemic countries. It is not a routine vaccination in the US, considering the low prevalence of TB.
The purpose of this study is to determine how the BCG vaccine affects the immune system and whether it can provide some degree of protection against a variety of infections. The study is:
- 6 months long
- enrolling people 18-65 years old
- includes 1-2 screening visits, 1 vaccination visit, 2 follow up phone calls and 3 follow up visits
- pays up to $440 for completion of all study procedures
