Campy ETEC Inpatient Study (CIR 353)

Summary

The purpose of the study is to learn more about the safety and tolerability of an experimental dairybased product (CampETEC) designed to prevent diarrhea caused by Campylobacter and enterotoxigenic Escherichia coli (ETEC) –bacteria, or germs that cause diarrhea, mostly in poorer parts of the world.  The study is:

  • 6 months long
  • enrolling people 18-50 years old
  • includes 1-2 screening visits, one 12-day inpatient stay, 2 follow up visits
  • pays up to $4710 for completion of all study procedures
