Study Details
The HIV Pandemic has killed more than 44 million people and there are about 1.3 million new HIV infections reported globally every year. [WHO, 2025]
The Johns Hopkins CIR is looking for volunteers to participate in a Phase 1 outpatient clinical trial to test a new potential treatment for HIV. The purpose of this clinical trial is to assess the safety of the drug and to evaluate its ability to block HIV from infecting cells. Eligibility for study participation will be confirmed by a clinical trial clinician. People who are eligible and enrolled will participate in clinical trial visits that may include blood draws, physical exams, vital signs and pregnancy prevention counseling. All study requirements and procedures will be reviewed with study participants during the informed consent process.
